Dragons of Cyfina
Dragons have lived in Cyfina for longer than human memory. Intelligent and independent, they are neither beasts nor mounts, but beings with lives, relationships, and choices of their own.
Powerful and strongly built, Cyfina’s dragons have distinctly leonine features, with broad chests, expressive faces, and frills framing the head and neck. Their scales shimmer in shades of blue, violet, and green, changing subtly with the light.
At Home in Water
Cyfina’s dragons are as comfortable in the water as they are in the air. Powerful swimmers, they can dive beneath the surface and remain submerged for extended periods.
Their affinity for water shapes where they live as well. Dragons are most often found near the sea, lakes, and rivers, where open water gives them another realm in which to move.

The Dragonbonded
Some dragons choose to form a lifelong bond with a human. The relationship is far more than that of rider and mount. Dragon and bonded share a connection that allows them to communicate mind to mind.
The bond is a partnership, and neither dragon nor human ceases to be an individual. Though a dragon may carry their bonded into the air, partnership, not ownership, lies at the heart of the relationship.
